The Chinese helicopter of political correctness has landed.

In Singapore some netizens have become upset with the Oxford English Dictionary’s inclusion of the Singlish phrase ‘Chinese helicopter’.

A petition was launched to have this offensive word removed.

This served well to raise awareness regarding other offensive words found in the Oxford English Dictionary, so a second petition has subsequently been launched to seek the removal of the other offensive words as well.

Whilst some feared that political correctness had died a slow death, such initiatives prove otherwise.

Please support both petitions at your earliest convenience.
